Storyteller, Conscious Capitalist, Seeker of Impactful Moments…
Since 1996, I’ve been intrigued by people’s stories. When I help someone with their home, it always involves a story about an impact in their lives. Being a part of someone’s real estate choices is more than just any old acquisition of goods or services. One’s home is in the top five of their most basic needs to survive! I take that very seriously. It’s personal and it affects families in a memorable and intimate way.
I like talking to people to find out about those moments of impact that shaped them into who they are in present day. That’s why I’ve started a podcast dedicated to seeking out such moments of impact in the community around me. Business owners, charities, local heroes, and even the everyday man or woman, all have stories of impactful moments that shaped them in some way.
News and media has always been fascinated with the negative. That’s what traditionally gets the most clicks or sells the most papers. But I’ve grown weary of all the bad news and in search of good. And I have found that good news in the very community in which I live and serve. So what better use of my time than to seek out those tidbits of good news and report them for the world to see and hear about?
There’s certainly a shortage of good news outlets, so I created Impact Carolinas Realty to work hand in hand with my Impact Carolinas Podcast to put those positive stories out there for all of us to use as inspiration.
So if you’ve been thinking of starting that hobby, or business, or past time but keep finding ways to put it off until later (“I don’t have time”, “I’ll do it when I have a little more money”, “I’m afraid of what my family might think”…), then perhaps these stories, via this website, podcast, and social media feeds, will spark something inside of you to shed those reservations and/or fears and take that small step in a new and exciting direction.
Or perhaps you just want something else to listen to for inspiration on your daily commute or during your workout, or while you’re engaged in the tedium of daily chores (mowing grass, cleaning house, sorting laundry, cleaning the shed). I hope the stories I find and share with you provide some amount of peace or excitement or even just brief amusement.
